Admin & Marketing Assistant

Alpha Portfolio Management is an award-winning Bristol-based investment manager. Providing a broad range of investment services to client, working with professional partners, such as financial advisers, accountants and solicitors. We are aiming to grow our admin team, to support our growth plans.

We are seeking an assistant administrator to join a central Bristol office. Providing a professional, high-quality service to our clients. You will have an important role in a small team. The role is dynamic and varied, where no two days are the same.

The role:

  • Providing administrative support to an investment management team.
  • Full-time. Monday to Friday. Typically, 8am to 4.30pm (one hour lunch break).
  • Permanent position. 37 ½ hours per week.
  • This is an office-based role. BS1 / Bristol Temple Meads location with good transport links. Primarily an office-based role, but an element of remote working might be possible in due course.

Main responsibilities:

  • Acting as a primary point of customer contact and providing excellent service.
  • Providing admin support to portfolio managers.
  • Completing all required administration processes, daily admin tasks and co-ordinating general business tasks.
  • Effectively managing personal workload.
  • Onboarding clients and maintaining client records. Updating internal back-office systems.
  • Maintaining customer relationships.
  • Preparing for meetings and presentations.
  • Updating website and social media accounts.
  • Maintaining and growing contact list for marketing purposes.

The ideal candidate:

  • Customer focused, with an ability to build strong relationships with client and third-party contacts at all levels.
  • 2+ years’ relevant experience, preferably in financial services. Ideally with previous experience in a similar role.
  • Proficient computer skills, including Microsoft Office. Confident with excel and mail merges.
  • Motivated, outgoing and friendly.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Data entry experience.
  • Excellent accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication and organisational skills.
  • An ability to work under pressure and to deadlines, effectively prioritising workload.
  • Able to work both independently and as part of a team.
  • Ability to adapt to changing processes or situations.
  • A passion for customer service and customer experience.
  • Basic knowledge of social media.
  • Knowledge of WordPress would be preferable.

Package:

  • Offering £20,000-25,000, depending on experience.
